About Me
My “motherhood with a side of dirt” adventure journal teaches you the skills you need to get outside with your kids so you can create your own legacy of family adventure.
Hi, I’m Brooke!
I’m raising my two courageously wild children in Colorado. The seats of our pants are usually dusty, and it’s no secret that we prefer wandering through a forest over wandering through Target. I’m a big believer in over preparing, learning through trial and error, and turning around early when somebody needs a nap. Thanks for being here.

Here’s the story
I want to help YOU be able to do this with your family! Family adventure is relatively new to me too- I’ve only been at in for the last 5 years. But if I can find ways to share the love of camping or biking with my kids, I know you can too. I have worked as an adventure content creator with brands like Merrell, Nordica, GoPro, Reima, Specialized, and Thule (to name a few), and love to share what being an “adventure family” looks like for us. I am co-founding WildKind, an organization geared towards helping families “find their wild” (can’t wait to share more). Thank you for being here!
Within the span of just a few months, my life changed entirely. Before my oldest was born I was working full time in Human Genetic research, spending my evenings at the climbing gym, and chasing after lines in the backcountry. A few months later I became a single mom who was in the beginning of a huge career change. It was terrifying. Those months changed the course of my life, bringing more adventure and joy than I could have imagined. My motherhood journey started off with solo trips to the desert with my oldest child, Huck, and has evolved into spending days on our skis as a family in the backcountry.
